Join the waitlist to learn about the start and end dates and how to become a SUSTAINABILITY TEEN ADVOCATE.

What is the Challenge?

 

♻️ In this challenge, students will be practicing sustainability for 30 Days

♻️ Students will need to maintain a log and collect data based on their efforts.

♻️ End of 30 days, students will write a blog post or op-ed of 1,000 words and submit it for review.

♻️ After submission, your mentor will review your blog post, and select a few results that exemplify sustainable living and will acquire an opportunity to be posted on the Gifted Gabber website.

What roles can a student  play?

About the NonProfit

InspireYouth

InspireYouth is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that aims at empowering youth by teaching them to give back to the community. We guide teens to discover their passion and contribute to the community in any way possible.

InspireYouth is exempt from federal income tax under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 501(c)(3). Donors can deduct contributions they make to InspireYouth under IRC Section 170. InspireYouth is classified as a public charity or private foundation.

InspireYouth is run by Jothsna Kethar, CEO of Gifted Gabber. InspireYouth programs and services are hosted on the giftedgabber.com website.

InspireYouth runs many programs spearheaded by youth, past summer High Schoolers contributed to the community by teaching Chess, Exoplanets, Coding, Arts and Crafts, and Yoga lessons for Youth.

Is The Program Free?

ABSOLUTELY!

There is no charge to participate in the challenge!

InspireYouth's and Green Cell's mission is to tackle environmental issues and raise awareness about the effects of human-created harm on our environment.

We only ask that you contribute to a cause that is so close to Coach Jo's heart: VICTIMS SERVICES CENTER, which is Montgomery County's only comprehensive victim services agency. They are the only Non-profit, a comprehensive crime-victim agency serving Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Their confidential services are provided at no cost to survivors of crime and their loved ones. Their mission is to provide advocacy and counseling for all who have been affected by sexual violence and other crimes against the person and to promote sensitivity and awareness in the community through education.

Meet Your Mentor

Ramya Shivkumar

She leads the Energy and Sustainability practice at Windward Engineers and Consultants. She has worked in the green building industry for the last 15+ years helping many clients like, Georgia Tech, Emory, Microsoft, Duke University, University of Augusta, and others build sustainable buildings.

As a sustainability and building performance subject matter expert, she has experience working with grassroots organizations and corporate clients. She has volunteered for various organizations over the years including US Green Building High-Performance Healthy Schools, which sparked her love for working with schools and kids. She is passionate about climate education and taking meaningful action to mitigate climate change.

As a Green Cell Board of Director, she also helps with other Green Cell programs that focus on food rescue, composting, helping events go green, and awareness through webinars and corporate lunch and learns. She continues her passion for Indian Classical dance Bharatanatyam in her free time.

She is a mom to two beautiful children, and a fur baby, and lives in Atlanta, Georgia.
