A Standard Tutorial for Testing

A standard, basic tutorial to get ready for SAT and ACT (the two tests are so similar that when we prep for one, we are automatically prepping for the other) is approximately 20 hours. There is no time difference for doing only one test, so we recommend students take both, since both SAT and ACT are accepted for college admission. Most students do better on the ACT, but we still recommend they take both tests.

This amount, 20 hours, is an estimate and can be customized to each student, as some require one subject (just math or just verbal), and others require more intensive work. A good ballpark is to do 10 sessions of two hours each once a week, one hour math and one verbal. The student will receive approximately two hours of homework a week and will, ideally, take at least two, full, timed diagnostic tests before sitting for an actual exam.
