Hello, I am Dr. Sri Shilpa Katragadda, Doctorate in Science from one of the topmost universities in India. I have over 8 years of teaching experience. I had been training high schoolers, pre-med, and medical students in Biology and related topics.
I teach students pre-AP, AP Biology, SAT, MCAT, etc. along with test managing skills and time management.

I teach various Biology related topics all the the way from cells, macromolecules, cell organelles structure and functions, carbon and water chemistry, cell cycle, cancer biology, various forms of cell division (Mitosis, Meiosis, Cytokinesis).

Topics include membrane transport, cell signaling, cell processes- Photosynthesis, respiration, fermentation, Mendel's Genetics- Monohybrid, Di hybrid crosses, Punnett squares, Chi square test, molecular basis of inheritance, DNA and hereditary, DNA replication and repair mechanisms.

And gene mutations and syndromes, gene expression- transcription, translation, evolution- Darwin's theory, phylogeny, descent with modification, evolution patterns etc.
My Approach
I predominantly give lectures on the topics, pose questions to understand students’ confidence. Work on some problems, assignments, or any complex problems the student may have. I train students to gain confidence in attempting complex problems by themselves with some hints as and when needed.

About Me
I am Dr. Sri Shilpa Katragadda, Doctorate in Science from the University of Hyderabad. My Ph.D. was you guessed right, in Biology and was on Plant Sciences. Before that, I worked on molecular biology techniques and performed blood grouping assays. I also have hands-on experience with different sterilization methods. Along with that, I carried out karyotyping and chromosome banding techniques.
I have over 8 years of teaching experience. I have been training high schoolers, pre-med, and medical students in Biology and related topics.
